Riding the Flying Futon
Hi there! It’s Morisaki Win again.
Have you enjoyed this season’s programs? We visited picture-perfect spots around the world, learned about the human body from a school nurse, and covered so many other topics. Did you have a favorite theme or story? My personal favorite was “The Flying Futon,” which aired in June. Wouldn’t it be fun to ride a flying futon and go on adventures all around the world? If you could fly through the sky on a futon, where would you want to go? For me, it’s Mars! No one has ever landed on Mars yet, so I’d love to be the first human to leave footprints there. Neil Armstrong was the first person to walk on the moon. Maybe I’ll be the first person to land on Mars! Who knows?
This year’s season of Enjoy Simple English comes to a close with this September issue. To everyone who listened for the past six months: Great job! Give yourself a pat on the back. And thanks for being by my side all the way. As I’m sure you all know, learning is something you do for your whole life. I’m not going to forget that, and I hope you don’t, either. Let’s keep pushing forward!

森崎ウィン（もりさき・うぃん）
俳優・アーティスト。ミャンマーで生まれ、小学4年生で来日。2018年スティーヴン・スピルバーグ監督映画『レディ・プレイヤー1』で主要キャストとしてハリウッドデビュー。20年『蜜蜂と遠雷』で第43回日本アカデミー賞新人俳優賞。24年監督、出演をつとめた『せん』が「ショートショート フィルムフェスティバル &アジア 2024」でグランプリである「ジョージ・ルーカス アワード」を受賞。ミュージカルの世界でも25年『ウェイトレス』に出演するなど活躍中。アーティストとしては“MORISAKI WIN”名義で20年にメジャーデビュー。母国ミャンマーでも観光大使を務め圧倒的な知名度を誇る。
英訳：Tom Kain（トム・ケイン）
日英翻訳家。アメリカ・ミネソタ州出身。2005年に来日し、現在はNHK「ニュースで学ぶ現代英語」に出演中。
