Codexと同じハーネスを使ってAIエージェントを作れる「Agents API」が登場

Agents APIは「社内用AIエージェント」や「顧客専用AIエージェント」などを構築する開発者のためのAPIです。AIエージェントを構築するには「プロンプトの整形」「ツール使用」「コンテキスト管理」「長時間セッション管理」などの処理を担うハーネスが必要となります。しかし、ハーネスの構築には多大な労力が必要であり、AIモデルのアップデートなどに追従して適切に更新する必要があります。Agents APIを使えば、Codexと同じハーネスを用いてAIエージェントを構築できるようになります。
Agents APIを使ったAIエージェントの処理フローはこんな感じ。入力内容に沿ってAgents APIがツール呼び出しを実行し、サンドボックスでツールを用いた処理が実行され結果が返される仕組みです。
サンドボックスはOpenAIがホストする「OpenAI-hosted sandboxes」か、セルフホスト型の「Self-hosted sandboxes」のいずれかを使用可能。Self-hosted sandboxesはOracleやCloudflareといったプロバイダーによって提供されます。
Agents APIのクイックスタートガイドは以下のリンク先で確認可能。Agents API自体の使用量は無料で、Agents APIを介してAIモデルを使用すると各モデルの使用料金が発生します。
