シンガポールにある『ハトの彫像』が「一度見たら忘れられない」と人気を集めた理由
シンガポール金融の中心地ラッフルズ・プレイスには、ユニークな形をした「ハトの像」があるのだとか。

これはまた、ずいぶんと恰幅の良いハト。
現地ではそのままズバリ「太ったハトの像」"Fat Pigeon statue"と呼ばれているそうです。
愛嬌があって、たしかに一度見たら忘れられないインパクトがあります。

「最もコロンビア人らしい芸術家」として知られるフェルナンド・ボテロ氏による作品で「 生きる喜びと楽観主義の力」を表しているとのこと。
ボテロ氏の他の彫像を見ると、こうした肉付きの良い彫像が作風のようです。
