HPが米国向けに個人向けノートPC製品の一新を発表しました。ラインナップはハイパフォーマンス17インチから安価な「スタンダード」製品まで7モデル。

うち14インチでタッチ対応のウルトラブック HP ENVY TouchSmart 14 Ultrabookでは、オプションで3200 x 1800ピクセルの高精細液晶パネルが選択可能です。

高精細ディスプレイのノートPCといえば、「Retinaディスプレイ」のマーケティングでおなじみ MacBook Pro は13.3インチで2560 x 1600ピクセル、細かさを表すPixel Per Inch では約227ppi。

ほか東芝が先月発表したdynabook KIRA V832 が13.3インチ 2560 x 1440 (約220ppi)、Google の Chrome OS を載せた Chromebook Pixel が 12.85インチ 2560 x 1700 で約240ppiなど。

HP Envy TouchSmart 14 で選択できる14インチ3200 x 1800 は、さらに高精細な約262ppiにあたります。このほか選択可能なディスプレイ解像度は底辺が1366 x 768、ほか 1600 x 900 など。(なぜか 1920 x 1080 は用意されないようです)。そういえば先日、シャープが14型3200 x 1800 のノートPC向けIGZO液晶を6月から生産と発表していました。


HP Envy TouchSmart 14 Ultrabook は、現行でいえば HP Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4系 の後継機。当初の発表予定に含まれなかったものが手違いで公開されたのちなし崩しに存在を認められたらしく、高精細画面オプションや薄型のUltrabook であること、タッチに対応すること、Haswell 世代のプロセッサを備えるなど以外の詳細仕様は正式に発表されていません。

価格は構成により 699ドルから。もちろん 3200 x 1800 を選べば700ドルでは買えません。米国での発売は今年の夏後半、新学期商戦あたり。


このほか発表された新ラインナップは、命名規則がやや変わり画面サイズが分かりやすくなったものの、いずれも現行モデルの Haswell リフレッシュまたは AMD APU搭載版です。下記はいずれも米国向け発表の情報。

HP Envy TouchSmart 15
15.6インチ1920 x 1080ディスプレイ、インテルCore (Haswell)またはAMDプロセッサ、4スピーカーとサブウーファー搭載の高音質など。米国では6月5日発売、529ドルから。

HP Envy 17
現行の HP Envy dv7 を置き換えるハイパフォーマンスモデル。17.3インチ1920 x 1080、Haswell、型番不明の NVIDIA製GPU。最大2TBストレージオプション。オーディオは4スピーカー + デュアルドライブ サブウーファー。6月5日発売、699ドルから。

HP Pavilion 11 TouchSmart
11インチのdm1の置き換え。11インチ1366 x 768ディスプレイ(10点マルチタッチ)、AMD A4 / A6 APU。

VGAとHDMI出力、SDスロット、イーサネット端子、USB、交換可能バッテリーやアルミ製パームレストなどひととおりの仕様を備えつつ、価格は399ドルから(標準でタッチ対応)。発売は6月26日。

HP Pavilion 14,15,17
HP Pavilion gシリーズのリフレッシュ版。光学ドライブやVGAありの伝統的な「スタンダード」ノート。廉価なので1366 x 768ディスプレイ。15ではタッチも選べます。プロセッサはインテルまたはAMD。こちらも詳細仕様はまだ出ていません。米国発売は6月5日、価格は14が479ドル、15が429ドル、17が449ドルから。

HP Unveils Desktop PC That Leaves the Desk Behind

HP's first mobile all-in-one PC makes shared entertainment fun and easy; company also announces new consumer notebooks and printers




PALO ALTO, Calif. - HP today announced the HP ENVY Rove20 mobile All-in-One PC, the company's first mobile All-in-One PC, which frees the desktop PC from the desk and allows families and friends to enjoy a shared entertainment experience with a built-in battery, unique design and advanced touch technology.




HP also announced new consumer notebooks, all-in-one PCs and printers that give people more flexibility in how they access and share information. With affordable touch technology and new form factors, HP's new additions provide seamless integration of technology into customers' busy lives.

The desktop that leaves the desk behind




The HP ENVY Rove20 can easily move from upright to completely horizontal for a tabletop entertainment experience. Using advanced multitouch technology, multiple users can interact with games and more at the same time. Multiplayer games such as Electronic Arts' Monopoly[TM], Fingertapps[TM] JigsWar Puzzle, Fingertapps Musical Instruments, and nsquared makewords are an ease to play when the PC is laid flat.




In addition to sharing games, families and friends can enjoy multimedia content on the 20-inch 1,600 x 900 IPS LED panel that enables wide viewing angles, rich colors and sharp graphics, while built-in Beats Audio[TM] offers crisp, clear sound. Powered by 4th generation Intel(R) Core[TM] processors, Intel HD graphics and 10-point touch, the HP ENVY Rove20 packs power for productivity tasks and an immersive entertainment experience with the ease of touch interaction.

This allows family members to print from virtually anywhere. Customers also can print photos, tickets, emails and more from their iPad(R), iPhone(R) and iPod touch(R) using AirPrint[TM].




HP also introduced additional HP TouchSmart PCs and a selection of stylish, reliable notebook PCs that offer performance for everyday computing, at a reasonable price.




Enhanced solutions for an intuitive experience




HP also announced a suite of exclusive solutions and services that enhance the Windows 8 experience and help users create, organize and print the content that matters.




Box and HP will provide students and professionals with a cloud-based collaboration solution for storing, managing and accessing content from wherever the classroom or work takes them. HP ENVY and HP Spectre users will receive a 50GB Box account, valued at up to $19.99 per month. HP Pavilion users will receive a 25GB Box account, valued at up to $9.99 per month. The Box offer is valid in the Americas only.




Customers can receive greater phone and online support, beyond the standard product limited warranty, for these and other new products with the new HP Care Pack. HP CarePack offers an easy-to-access suite of services including Accidental Damage Protection and HP LoJack to help consumers breathe easier when theft or accidental drops, spills and surges occur.




Pricing and availability









The HP ENVY Rove20 will be available in July with pricing to be determined.





The HP Pavilion 20 TouchSmart All-in-One PC will be available in the United States on June 26, with a starting price of $619.99.





The HP Pavilion 23 TouchSmart All-in-One PC will be available in the United States on June 5, with a starting price of $749.99.





The HP Pavilion 11 TouchSmart Notebook will be available in the United States on June 26, 2013 with a starting price of $399.





The HP Pavilion 14 TouchSmart Sleekbook will be available in the United States on June 26, with a starting price of $479.99.





The HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One will be available in the United States on June 17, with a starting price of $99.





The HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One will be available in the United States on July 1, with a starting price of $129.
