ChatGPT・Claude・Grokがほぼ同時刻にダウン
2026年9月3日深夜、大手3社のAIサービスがほぼ同時に停止しました。なぜタイミングが重なったのか、理由は明らかになっていません。

障害が発生したのはOpenAIのChatGPTとAnthropicのClaude、そしてSpaceXAIのGrokです。Grokが2時間ほど早くダウンしていて、その後ChatGPTとClaudeがほぼ同時刻にダウンしました。なお、記事作成時点では解決されています。
障害が発生している間、各社のチャットAIのほかAPIサービス等でも応答不可のエラーが出ていて、アメリカなどでは多くの会社の始業時間と重なったため大混乱に陥りました。
AnthropicのスタッフであるCJ Avilla氏は「インフラの問題により、Claude Code、API、およびclaude.aiで部分的な障害が発生しています」と投稿。

SpaceXAIは「メンフィスの計算センターで発生した障害に伴い問題が発生しました」と報告しました。

OpenAIやAnthropicの障害の原因が、SpaceXAIと同じメンフィスの施設にあったのかどうかは定かではなく、OpenAIとAnthropicからの正式な声明が待たれています。
現代人が頼り切っているAIサービスが一斉にダウンしたことから、「ほんの一瞬、何百万人もの人々が再び頭を使わなければならなくなった」と分析する人もいました。
