ついにレゴブロック上でDOOMをプレイする猛者が登場
ブロックおもちゃの代名詞「レゴ」のブロックに組み込んだ液晶モニターを使って、1995年にリリースされた人気FPS「DOOM」をプレイすることに成功した人物が登場し、話題となっています。

レゴをモニターとして作り替えたのはニュージーランド在住のジェームス・ブラウン氏。ブラウン氏は2022年6月7日にレゴブロックがモニターとして機能する様子をTwitterに公開し、多くの人の注目を集めていました。

なお、ブラウン氏はプロセッサにSTM32F030F4P6(Cortex M0, 16K flash, 4K ram)、モニターにQT1306P82(0.42インチ OLED)を使用しているとのこと。

The new one is more opaque and a closer match to Lego Blue. I also painted the edges of the screen with black lacquer, which got rid of the glowing surround. It’s a very fiddly construction.
