Whoever said a "pregnancy transformation" isn't a "REAL" transformation has probably never given birth🤷🏻‍♀️Not only does a woman's uterus stretch to 500 times it's pre-pregnancy size, then has to contract {often painfully} to shrink back down, but gaining weight to varying degrees usually comes with the territory too! I went HAM on eating my first pregnancy because I had NO IDEA my body would gain so much fat. I literally got home from the hospital and immediately put on my pre-pregnancy jeans only to find they wouldn't go any farther than mid-thigh 👌🏼This is when extreme fear 😳 & a little depression set in. 😭 It never occurred to me that my body wouldn't just bounce back in a New York minute. What have I learned about myself after giving birth seven times? 1. It's normal for your belly to feel like jello for awhile after birth. 2. I usually didn't feel like "myself" for about a year after giving birth 3. I always made it a priority to lose the "baby weight" before getting pregnant again 4. Every pregnancy is different for everyone. I felt very sick the first 3 months of each pregnancy, but this just made it too difficult to workout regularly & I ate All. The. Time. It was the only thing that actually seemed to help the nausea. I wasn't one of those "can't keep anything down" women; I was "what can I put down" to get rid of this horrible feeling in my gut? 😩 And it never totally helped, but it felt better than not eating, so I ate a lot. 5. Breastfeeding didn't help me lose weight. I personally dropped it faster once I quit. This may be different for everyone. 6. YES! You! ALL OF YOU that have given birth can be just as strong or stronger than before giving birth! The ship has sailed ⛵️ on a 2018 New Year’s post for me, 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I’ll spare you my year in review, as I’m sure we’ve all seen at least 200-300 years worth of people’s lives in the past few days! 😂 And so here we find ourselves on a #transformationtuesday & yes, I know I’m 9 months pregnant & in labor with @codyenslow on the left, but as I’ve said before, anyone who thinks pregnancy transformations don’t count probably has never given birth! Not only do you often gain some extra fat, but a woman’s uterus stretches to 500 times it’s normal size, and then returns to its normal size within about a month! Yes, our bodies are so resilient, especially when we take care of them. I’ve realized that if you find something you love, you’re more likely to stick with it! I now know I pretty much hate plyometrics & running, but I love #weighttraining & #cardio on the elliptical. I’m done following the trends & fads that come & go. 2013年に末子を産んだ後、エンスロウさんは徐々に、でもはっきりと、「体重の変動を気にしながら、今後の人生を送りたくない」と感じたそう。「病院から家に帰るとすぐに、妊娠前に着ていたジーンズをはいてみましたが、太ももの半分までしか上がらないことに気づきました」と<Daily Mail>に語ったエンスロウさん。「このときは一番恐かったし、落ち込みました」。

その後食生活に気をつけ、有酸素運動もしていたものの、エンスロウさんが実際に、生活を徹底的に見直す必要を感じたのは2017年のこと。

体の感覚を敏感に受け取るため、エンスロウさんはまず食べることにより集中し、満腹のサインを見逃さないようにしたそう。また、大好きだったチョコレートスプレッドはやめて、タンパク質たっぷりで、オートミールや全粒粉のパンといったヘルシーな炭水化物や、フルーツを含んだ食事に切り替えたのだとか。

そして今や、間食はもう過去の習慣になったというエンスロウさん。もしどうしてもお腹が空いている場合は、ジャーキーやプロテインチップスなどのヘルシーな食べ物を口にするように。

2015 NO WEIGHT TRAINING 🥞 vs. 2017 YES! WEIGHT TRAINING 🍑 I was going through some pics on my phone the other day and noticed how much difference #weighttraining makes in contouring the body. The nice thing about gaining muscle is you don’t just lose it over night if you reduce your training for a period of time. I haven’t done more than 1-2 #weightlifting sessions until just last week in over 4 months! If you don’t know where to start with your fitness training to achieve your goals, it’s easier to just pick something you feel is manageable and then build on that as you go. My first goal was to lean out, but I completely lost my shape, so I added weight training to help with that. I would highly recommend implementing weights as soon as you can because the results are well worth it! What BUM BUILDING exercises do I like to do? I rarely do free weight squats because, well, I hate them. 🤫 My absolute favorite bum sculpting exercises are wide stance, narrow stance and single leg presses! 変化したのは食生活だけでなく、エンスロウさんは、フィットネスの方法も変えたそう。かつてはよく有酸素運動をしていたけれど、今はウェイトトレーニングも実践。好きなだけジムに通うことはできないものの、週に数回は4〜5種類の脚の運動と、1種類の臀部の運動を行うことで、下半身を鍛えているのだとか。

生活のバランスと、フィットネスのための時間を見つけるのは今も課題だそうで、インスタグラムには、「夫と私は週3回、彼ら(子どもたち)がみんな学校に行っている間に(ジムに通うことに)決めています。私は毎週月曜日、家族がみんな寝ている間に有酸素運動をします。毎週土曜日にも出かけることにしたから、上の子たちにちょっと助けてもらおうかとも話しているの。みんなの調整が必要になってくるけど、今のところとてもうまく行っているわ」との投稿が。

目標を達成できた――そして、この美ボディを手に入れることができたのは、「夫の協力があったから」とエンスロウさん。長期的な目標は頭の中にあっても、アプローチの仕方は都度柔軟に選ぶことが大切だったため、夫や年長の子どもたちを頼ることで、ここまで来られたそう。
