■今週のジョーク「このときを待ってたんだ！」(Revenge)

In a city park stood two statues, one female and the other male. These two statues faced each other for many years.

ある都会の公園の中に立っていたのは2つの彫像。一つは女性像、もう一つは男性像。この2つの彫像は何年もの間、お互いを見つめ合うように立っていました。

Early one morning an angel appeared before the statues and said,”Since the two of you have been exemplary statues and have brought enjoyment to many people, I am giving you your greatest wish.I hereby give you the gift of life. You have 30 minutes to do whatever you desire.”

ある日の早朝、この彫像の前に天使が登場して、こう言いました。「あなたたちはとても模範的な彫像で、多くの人々を楽しませてくれました。あなたたちの願いごとを叶えてあげましょう。命の贈り物をあなたたちに与えます。30分間、あなたたちの好きなことができますよ」。

And with that command, the statues came to life.

その命令とともに、彫像たちは命を吹き込まれました。

The two statues smiled at each other, ran toward some nearby woods and dove behind a couple of bushes. The angel smiled to himself as he listened to the two statues giggling, bushes rustling and twigs snapping.

2つの彫像は互いに微笑み合い、近隣の森へ行き、藪の後ろに飛び込みました。天使は、2つの彫像が笑い合い、藪がカサカサなったり、小枝がパチパチなったりする音を聞いて、にっこりしました。

After 15 minutes, the two statues emerged from the bushes, satisfied and smiling.

15分後、2つの彫像は藪から現れて、満足し、微笑みました。

Puzzled, the angel looked at his watch and asked the statues, “You still have 15 minutes. Would you like to continue?”

当惑した表情で、天使は腕時計を見て、彫像に尋ねました。

「まだ15分ありますよ。まだ続けたいですか？」

The male statue looked at the female and asked, “Do you want to do it again?”

男の彫像は女の彫像を見て、尋ねました。「もう一度アレがしたい？」

Smiling, the female statue said, “Sure. But this time YOU hold the pigeon down and I’LL poop on its head!” 

女の彫像は微笑んで、「もちろん。でも、今回はあなたが鳩を抑えてね。私がその鳩の頭にうんちをするから！」
